What is Disney Infinity?

Last week, Melodi and I went to Los Angeles to learn about Disney Interactive’s new initiative – Disney Infinity. Disney Infinity is a new game universe where players have endless opportunities, to create stories with their favorite characters from Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios.

The players use interactive figures, power disc and play set pieces on the “Disney Infinity Base” to begin a story-driven adventure with no limits. As players advance through each adventure, they will collect characters, vehicles, upgrade and more which they can save in a virtual “Toy Box.”

The storyline possibilities are endless. Disney will put the story creation into the hands of their fans for the first time with Infinity. There are infinite adventures giving players unprecedented freedom for creative play.

How do you start playing?

Disney Infinity will begin with the launch of three play sets: The Incredibles, Monsters, Inc. and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Facts:

• Disney Infinity will be available on all platforms including tablets and mobile devices.
• There will be a line of 40 collectible interactive figures, play set pieces and power discs.
• The power discs allow players to customize their play experience.
• There will be co-op multi-player action.
• Disney Infinity will be available in June 2013.
