What to Expect at Bella Terra’s New Restaurant: The Public House by Evan’s Brewing Co.

We visited The Public House by Evan’s Brewing Co. as a guest of the restaurant.

Bella Terra in Huntington Beach recently gained another restaurant on its property that offers foodies and beer enthusiasts another place to dine and indulge. The Public House by Evans Brewing Co. is the brewery’s second tasting room and restaurant which opened approximately a year after its first location in downtown Fullerton.

The venue itself gives off a casual vibe to patrons as they walk in. With multiple TV screens playing various shows and dim lighting to set the mood, the open space is complete with high top and low top tables, bar, and an outdoor, intimate patio space complete with fire pits and keg stools. On Thursdays through Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. through midnight, patrons enjoy live music performed by local musicians.

The menu features gastro pub favorites that were designed to complement the craft beers brewed by Evans Brewing Co. From delectable bites and fresh salads to brick oven pizzas, hamburgers, beer infused cuisine, and more, everyone has plenty of options to choose from.

From the Bites menu, the Fried Cauliflower introduced our taste buds to a crispy sensation intermingled with the spicy flavors from the restaurant’s house-made chili sauce, fresno chiles, and thai basil. The Baby Farmer Green Salad presented a refreshing, yet nice, sour zest due to the lemon poppy vinaigrette.

Seeking a vegetarian entree that is tasty for plant based and non-plant based diets, the Pesto Pie, one of Public House’s brick oven pizzas, fused the sharp piquancy of roasted garlic with pesto. It is well-balanced – soft enough to eat but crispy enough to enjoy. For meat eaters, the Nashville Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich provided colorful flavors of spice complemented with blue cheese and buttermilk ranch on a warm pretzel bun.

As for dessert, we concluded our meal perfectly with Key Lime Pie and the Chocolate Espresso Budino. The pie tasted like love at first bite and it actually paired perfectly well with the Chocolate Espresso Budino, which was made with the brewery’s Chocolatte Porter. The perfect craft beer to sip: the Double IPA. It has the perfect amount of hops but doesn’t feel overwhelming. The blonde ale, Son of a Beach, was also another favorite beer. It’s the ideal introduction craft beer for first time beer drinkers.

The Public House at Evans Brewing Co. is a great place to devour tasting cuisine while sipping on adult beverages in the presence of your family. Now, it is your turn to dine and indulge on some appetizing food and craft beer at Bella Terra’s new hotspot.
