Wonder Movie Teen Film Review

We attended the screening as a guest of the studio

The book Wonder by R.J Palacio has been my favorite book ever since I was old enough to read. I found out they were making a movie based on the book Wonder a couple of months ago and I started counting down the days. Wonder has such a unique and touching story, and I couldn’t wait to see how they put it into a film.

When the film began to start, I was immediately struck by how realistic the whole thing was. It was like the words from the book had been put on a giant movie screen. Even though I had read the book before, it was like seeing the story in a whole new way. Being able actually to see what everyone and everything look like gives you a unique take on the fantastic story of Wonder.

Having a little brother some of the messages in the film stood out to me and reminded me of my brother an I’s relationship. Throughout the entire movie, someone was going through their own struggles, and it really showed me how everyone fights their own battles. Even if some battles are smaller than others, people are always dodging what life throws at them.

One of my favorite things about the movies is all of the different perspective changes. Throughout the entire film, it is switching perspectives of different people experiencing the same events. It really goes to show that everyone is different and everyone had completely different views on the world. People always say the book was better than the movie, but in this case, both the book and movie were equally as emotional and equally as good.

You can see Wonder in theaters today. You don’t have to worry about if you have read the book or not, but I definitely recommend reading the book. This film AND book are for sure on my list of favorite books and movies.
