World Premiere of The Lego Batman Movie

Da na na na na na na BATMAN! The highly anticipated time has come for The Lego Batman movie to debut to the world in theaters on July 10th. My son lives, breathes and dreams about legos. When I told him the news that we were going to Los Angeles for the World Premiere of The Lego Batman Movie as a guest of Chevrolet, he squealed with delight.
Did you know that the Batmobile is a Chevrolet? That’s right – it sure is! Since Batman drives a Chevrolet, we couldn’t arrive at the premiere driving any other kind of car. The morning of the premiere, we got into our cool blue Chevrolet Cruz Hatchback and cruised down the freeway to the premiere. I downloaded The Lego Batman soundtrack album to my iPhone, plugged my phone into the Chevrolet Cruz and utilized Apple Car Play to listen to the tunes on our way to the premiere.
We parked our Chevrolet Cruz Hatchback in the parking lot and walked over to the epic premiere pre-party. Once we arrived at the premiere, we were greeted by all our favorite characters in The Lego Batman Movie. We captured a keepsake photo and then got ready for an afternoon filled with Lego fun.
My sons favorite part of the premiere pre-party was the build your own Batmobile station. He was able to go step-by-step in creating his own mini Chevrolet Batmobile figure. He was even given a small Chevrolet tote to take his lego Batmobile home with him.
There was face painting, spray tattoos, a game truck and more. Kids got a chance to decorate a lunchbox with Batman stickers, make their own Lego picture frame, and go ice skating. My son couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw that they had built a mini ice skating rink right in the middle of the party.
Along with fun and activities, there was a lot of food. My son got to create a candy bag at the candy bar, eat ice cream, and have a burger from In-n-Out. There were Batman themed cookies, cupcakes, and treats galore. My son was in Lego Batman heaven.
Finally, the time had come where we would get the opportunity to watch The Lego Batman Movie. We walked over to the theater from the party and got an opportunity to see a giant lego Batmobile on the red carpet and snapped a picture with Mariah Carey.
We took our seats inside of the theater, the lights began to dim, and the crowd cheered as the movie began. We were on the edge of our seats throughout the entire film watching Batman fight evil and help to keep the citizens of Gotham City safe.
My son was talking about the movie the entire way home and was googling facts about Batman on his iPad while using the 4G LTE and built-in Wifi hotspot on the Chevrolet Cruz Hatchback. It was a day that my son will never forget. Batman is awesome in The Lego Batman Movie. Take your kids to see it in theaters on February 10th and check-out the awesome Chevrolet Cruz Hatchback at your nearest Chevrolet dealer.
